Memorial Day Looks: Easy Styles for a Long Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is basically the unofficial kickoff of summer — and we are here for it. Cookouts, lake days, backyard hangs, rooftop parties. Whatever's on your agenda, your hair should be working with you, not against you.
We asked our Canton stylists what they'd actually wear (and recommend) for a long weekend when it's warm, humid, and fun. Here's their honest take.

The Goal: Easy, Heat-Resistant, and Still Cute
The worst feeling is spending time on your hair and having it fall flat by noon. For a holiday weekend in Georgia, we always recommend styles that work WITH your natural texture and won't require touch-ups every two hours.
Our Favorite Long Weekend Looks
1. The Effortless Low Bun
The low bun has had a serious glow-up. Done loosely with a few face-framing pieces pulled out, it looks intentional without requiring much effort. Run a little texture spray through damp hair, twist it back, secure it low, and let the wisps fall where they fall. Takes five minutes. Looks chic all day.
2. The Braided Half-Up
Take the top half of your hair, braid it back (even a messy three-strand works), and clip or tie it. The bottom half flows loose. It keeps hair off your face for the outdoor moments, looks put together for the chill moments, and holds up surprisingly well in humidity.
3. The Slicked-Back Pony with a Scarf
A sleek low ponytail wrapped with a bandana or silk scarf is one of the most underrated summer looks. Your hair stays off your neck, the scarf adds color and personality, and it looks like you tried even if you didn't. Bonus: it's one of the most humidity-resistant styles there is.
4. The Textured Waves (Air Dry Method)
If you have naturally wavy or curly hair, Memorial Day weekend is a great time to let it do its thing. Apply a curl cream or sea salt spray to damp hair, scrunch gently, and let it air dry. Embrace the volume. Embrace the texture. That's what summer hair is supposed to look like.
5. The Clip-Up
A claw clip updo has been everywhere this year — and for good reason. It takes about 20 seconds, works on almost every hair length, and looks intentionally casual. Twist hair loosely, clip it at the crown, and let the ends fan out. Done.
What to Use for Hold in Georgia Heat
