You've booked your bridal hair—amazing! But what about your bridesmaids, mothers, and other VIPs? At Welcome & Wanted Hair Bar in Canton, we help coordinate wedding party hair all the time. Here's what you need to know.

Start With a Headcount
Before booking, know:
●How many people need hair services?
●Will anyone need makeup too? (Contact our sister company Golden Swan Bridal for
makeup)
●Does everyone want styling, or are some doing their own hair?
Timeline Considerations
Each person typically needs 30-60 minutes depending on:
●Simple blowout/styling: 30-45 minutes
●Curls or waves: 45 minutes
●Half-up styles: 45-60 minutes
●Full updos: 60 minutes
Example timeline for a party of 6:
Starting at 8am for a 2pm ceremony:
●8:00-8:45: Bridesmaid 1
●8:45-9:30: Bridesmaid 2
●9:30-10:15: Bridesmaid 3
●10:15-11:00: Mother of Bride
●11:00-11:45: Mother of Groom
●11:45-1:00: Bride (extra time for finishing touches)
●1:00-2:00: Final touch-ups, travel to venue
Build in buffer time!
Where Will Services Happen?
Option 1: At Welcome & Wanted Everyone comes to the salon. Works great for smaller parties or morning timelines.
Option 2: On-Location Our sister company Golden Swan Bridal offers on-location bridal hair
and makeup services. Perfect for larger parties or when you want everyone together at your
getting-ready location.
Coordinating Looks
Your wedding party doesn't need identical hair! Options:
●Same style, different variations: All half-up but with personal touches
●Cohesive vibe: Romantic and soft across all looks, but different styles
●Uniform look: Everyone in the same updo (less common but still done)We'll work with you to create a cohesive but individualized look for each person.
Should Bridesmaids Do Trials?
Bride: Trial absolutely essential
Wedding party: Trials are optional but helpful if:
●Someone has specific concerns about their hair
●You want to see how the group looks together
●Anyone has unique hair texture/length considerations
Most bridesmaids skip trials and trust the stylist on the day.
Who Pays?
This varies! Common arrangements:
●Bride pays for everyone (generous gift to party)
●Each person pays their own
●Bride pays for styling; individuals pay for any additional services
●Bride covers mothers; bridesmaids cover themselves
Establish this upfront to avoid awkwardness.
