Wedding Season Extensions: Why Brides and Bridesmaids Are Booking Now
Summer weddings are in full swing — and if you're a bride, bridesmaid, or mother of the bride who wants fuller, longer hair for the big day, the window to install extensions is right now. Not a week before the wedding. Now.
Here's why timing matters and what brides and their parties should know about getting extensions for a wedding.

Why Install Weeks (Not Days) Before the Wedding
Extensions need time to settle. The install appointment is just the beginning — you need time to get used to sleeping with them, styling them, and making sure the color blend is exactly right. If anything needs a subtle adjustment, you want to discover that at week two, not the morning of.
We recommend installing extensions at minimum 3-4 weeks before the wedding, with a maintenance/adjustment check 1-2 weeks prior. This gives us time to perfect the result and gives you time to feel completely confident.
What Extensions Add for a Wedding
Length: updos, braids, and half-up styles all look more dramatic with additional length
Volume: thin or fine hair that would otherwise look flat in an updo transforms with extension fullness
Versatility: your stylist has more to work with, opening up styles that weren't possible before
Confidence: knowing your hair looks exactly as full and long as you want it to — priceless
Extension Options for Brides
For wedding clients, we typically discuss two primary options:
Hand-tied wefts: ideal for brides who want significant volume and length that lasts well beyond the wedding
K-tips or i-tips: great for brides who want targeted fullness, or who have finer hair that needs individual strand placement for a natural look
Both options are completely undetectable when installed correctly — even in updos, with the right placement strategy.
What About the Bridal Party?
Extensions for bridesmaids have become increasingly popular — especially when you want the whole party to have matching length for photos. We can work with multiple bridesmaids and coordinate installs to make sure everyone looks cohesive on the day.
